DC Shoes is a brand that was born in 1993 in California that specializes in fashion, accessories, uban shoes and footwear for sports such as BMX, skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross and surfing . One of the greatest successes that the company made was to get involved in the world of music since many hip-hop and rap artists began to use their brand so they decided to create campaigns with them, among which you can find Cypress Hill, blink-182, Mike Shinoda or Violadores del Verso in Spain. They also used the influence of Danny Way, brother of one of the founders, to create and promote branded content.

The logo plays with the similarity between the letters thanks to a small cut of the letter D on the straight stick, thus forming a kind of inverted C. For the C, they used a more square shape to get a kind of inverted D.
In 2004, Quiksilver, which was its great competitor , made an offer to the company that it could not refuse.
